On to Paris!

We are sitting in our New York City hotel room right now surrounded by a huge mountain of luggage. Oh, the headache with the luggage...I don't know what we are going to do with it once we get to France. I feel like such a miserable failure of a disciple because I am not traveling with just the sandals on my feet. Progress, not perfection, I guess.

We will be in hotels for about a week in Paris, and then we will move into our apartment in Massy. I look forward to finally having a place to live in...a place of our own. This unsettled nomadic feeling is becoming a bit difficult. Tomorrow we board our plane at 2PM and get to spend two glorious hours in Iceland before touching down in Paris at 6AM. Jet lag city.

Ian said he saw an angel last night near the window at bedtime. I hope we do have a few close to us in these times. We certainly have been praying for protection. I never know if it sheer clumsiness on my part or spiritual warfare, but I have had more cuts to my body this week (knife to hand, thorny bush to neck and legs) and two choking incidents. Prayers for safety as we travel to our new abode would be much appreciated.

Paris, here we come!

  1. I will be praying for your continued safety. I've got a childhood friend in the mission field in Maseru, Lesotho. She's with Mission Aviation Fellowship. I believe God will use you both in great ways.

  3. Hi Jen,
I just wrote a message and lost it because of the darn profile thing. I expect those kinds of glitches that happen on the computer and that frustrate me are just examples of reminding me to "pay attention." I have read it is the most important two words there are--they seem to be confirmed often as I go about daily life.

Your mom sent me the link to this. My prayers are with you and your family, and I will touch base with you as often as I do. It was good looking over your entries again, since it has been a long time since we were connected this way. Just know, even if I get sidetracked, you are in my heart, I care about you and your family, and wish godspeed to you in your journey.
    Love, joy, peace,
    Jane
