Bryan and I had a nice afternoon alone together today. We have been so up to our eyeballs in putting pieces together for France that this week, we really have neglected each other emotionally. Today was a nice day to just talk and savor the friendship we share. It was also a reminder that we cannot let the little things get in the way of the larger picture. I love and appreciate my husband so much. He is my biggest cheerleader, supporter and best friend.
Seminary is going well. The class this quarter is the Gospel in Contemporary Culture. As with all my classes, as I move along, I am beginning to sense more and more how God may use my unique experiences. This is such an exciting time! I do not think we can begin to fathom what is happening in the Church right now.
Part of what Bryan and I were talking about today is the fact that the big picture, being in France, does not alarm us so much as the stuff that needs to be done to actually get there. Some of it, as I have mentioned before is freeing. (like giving items away or selling furniture) However, we are getting down to the point where we will have to give the dogs away soon. I have been in contact with the local Golden Retriever Rescue, and I think they will be able to find good homes for them. Yet, my oldest dog, Timmy, has been with me for twelve years. In effect, it is like saying goodbye to a family member...and a family member who has seen all my ups and downs. The goodbyes are never easy.
