We approached Session tonight at church asking our church to formally partner with us in our ministry. I am very excited about having the backing and relationship back home. I know we will need so much support. The stuff that goes on in the spiritual realm in unbelievable. Prayers will be so essential.
It has been a pretty amazing week as far as things working our for preparation. On Friday, we finally secured a property management company to help us rent our house. Today, the real estate agent brought through a colleague of his, and she is interested. I pray that things go smoothly, and the lease is signed. It will be one less worry off of our plate.
The other thing that is looming in the background is health insurance. We are in the process of comparing costs for an international insurance policy. We both have preexisting conditions (Bryan has diabetes/I have fibromyalgia), so anything that happens related to those conditions will not be covered. I do not think we will have any medication coverage, and Bryan and I both take several medications. I hope the out of pocket expenses do not get too out of control for us. Bryan's COBRA from his previous job ends in February. From that point on, we will not have any coverage in the U.S. I don't know what we are going to do if we come back here to live after France. In any case, I am trying not to worry too much about this. I trust that God will help us figure out the details of this. While controversial, it's quite easy to see both sides of the health care debate when you are faced with the prospect of no insurance and/or astronomical insurance rates.
